Step 1: Download Markers Helper
Visit our download page to get the latest version for your operating system.

🪟 Windows Installation
- Double-click the downloaded
MarkersHelper-Setup.exefile - Click "Yes" when prompted by Windows User Account Control
- Follow the installation wizard (default settings work for most users)
- Launch Markers Helper from the Start menu or desktop shortcut
🍎 macOS Installation
- Double-click the downloaded
MarkersHelper.dmgfile - Drag Markers Helper to the Applications folder
- Right-click Markers Helper in Applications and select "Open" (first time only)
- Click "Open" to confirm you want to run the app
🐧 Linux Installation
- Make the file executable:
chmod +x MarkersHelper.AppImage - Run the application:
./MarkersHelper.AppImage - Optional: Install to system using AppImageLauncher
🔑 License Activation
Activating Your License
If you have a license key:
- Launch Markers Helper
- Click "Enter License Key" on the welcome screen
- Paste your license key from the email
- Click "Activate"
If you want to try the free trial:
- Launch Markers Helper
- Click "Start Free Trial" on the welcome screen
- Enter your email address (optional but recommended)
- Start grading immediately!

Check your spam folder or contact support if you haven't received your license within 24 hours.
📁 Creating Your First Project
Project Setup Wizard
Markers Helper organizes your grading work into projects. Each project contains assignments, rubrics, and student data.
Quick Setup (Recommended)
- Click "Create New Project"
- Choose "Quick Setup"
- Enter your course name (e.g., "English 101")
- Select assignment type (Essay, Quiz, Project, etc.)
- Import student list (CSV) or add manually
- Start grading!
Advanced Setup
- Click "Create New Project"
- Choose "Advanced Setup"
- Configure custom rubrics
- Set up grading scales
- Configure automation rules
- Import or create student roster

🔧 Common Setup Issues
Installation fails on Windows
Solution: Run the installer as administrator and ensure Windows Defender is not blocking the installation.
Right-click the installer → "Run as administrator"
"App cannot be opened" on macOS
Solution: This is normal for the first launch. Right-click the app and select "Open".
Go to System Preferences → Security & Privacy if you continue having issues
License key not working
Solution: Copy and paste the entire key from your email, including any dashes.
